  • Sammy Legs

Sammy Legs took an unconventional approach to where he is today. He discovered his penchant for music production in college while pursuing a career in programming. While his DJing begin as many do, through college parties and local clubs, his time spent in the Berlin underground and the California, outdoor music-scene pulled legs somewhere deeper. Having played parties and festivals all over the West Coast and starting two collectives that regularly throw events throughout LA, SB, and the Bay Area, Sammy pushes his cheeky, psychedelic dance-floor-energy to every weird nook and cranny that craves a weirder interpretation of the current, West Coast club and festival scene. He receives continued support from artists such as Kyle Watson, Billy Kenny, Sacha Robotti, Wongo, Christian Martin, Etc. Recently he was selected by Claude Vonstroke out of over 800 applicants as Dirtybird’s Beats In School Winner, garnering a year of mentorship from the Dirtybird team along with various Beatport partners. Sammy Legs is not confined by a specific genre. He weaves elements of house, techno, breakbeat and halftime throughout his arrangements, peppering rhythmic switch- ups in every pocket. Music, in his eyes, is as much a sonic palette as a story, and he has sought to utilize his mastery of computers and synthesizers to create auditory moments that you have to hear to believe. His textured grooves and unconventional turns offer an element of surprise to those who listen. He wants you to mingle with the brilliantly bizarre and, after listening, you do too.

Jayden Healey, better known by his stage name TWERL, experienced his first taste of dance music after sneaking in to a festival with a fake ID at age 15, a year later, still not of age, he entered a DJ competition and won the prize of opening for drum & bass legend Andy C; it became clear early on that the West Australian born producer plays by his own rules and makes his own luck. Diving in to the world of beat making, TWERL quickly carved out his own signature sound of jagged rhythms and experimental bass lines grabbing the attention of RL Grime, DJ Snake, Alison Wonderland, Ekali and support from institutions such as Skrillex's Nest HQ, Mad Decent and Soulection. 2018 saw the release of his debut EP with Elysian records which notched up millions of plays in a short space of time, quickly followed by doing an official remix for Diplo & Lil Xan as well as a tour through Asia with Alison Wonderland. It’s not hard to understand why TWERL is fast becoming one of Australia's most promising new talents.
